Project - Sewing an Apron using a man's shirt

I thought I would show a project that I worked on a few weeks back.  I actually have some things I enjoy other than just taking pictures.  Although I'm not sewing as much as I probably would really like to (I let other things get me sidetracked) here is an apron I sewed using a man's shirt.

How awesome is this.  My sewing guild friend showed us how to use a mans shirt (has to have a collar and long sleeves) to make an apron.  Around the top you can see the green fabric I used for the ties and pockets.  The arms of the shirt are used to put on a waistband.  The shirts cuffs are used for the ruffle on top of the pockets.  You keep on the buttons and the front pocket becomes a back pocket.  Great for keeping anything in a back packet you don't want to get wet (such as a cell phone).  Thanks Darlene for the fab idea.  It was a fun project!
