I love fall and I love to decorate. As my life developed into a full-time employee, wife, then mother, I enjoyed the simple pleasures of making our house into a home with little hints of the season or holiday. I have always enjoyed having, in my opinion, the show home that could be in a magazine. As I prepare for autumn and all its glorious ambers, greens, browns, and reds it reminds me of how beautiful this time of year truly is. I love to wear shorts with sweatshirts, plan outdoor camping trips, and stroll through Brown County.
This is our living room
My husband made me this. Remember the ol' balloon and starch?
I've had this for a few years. My scarecrow came from Avon and is fiber-optic. He is such a greeter.
My daughter actually owns these place settings. I just love the colors for fall. Candycorn surrounds the orange candle adding to the fall theme in our dining room.
I carried the same fall foliage that was on the mantle into the staircase. It is hard to see, but both have orange lights.
Along with fall comes Halloween. This is our kitchen table with the jack-o-lantern placemats.
I've been busy since the end of September. I'm now starting to add a few Halloween things but more of that decorating will come as Halloween gets closer.
